The crisis measures for businesses are continuing. Extended short-time working and extended transition support are two of the measures that have been presented. \u00a0<\/p>\n
Companies that have lost at least half of their turnover during August, September, and October compared to the same period last year will be able to apply for support. A maximum of SEK 30 million.<\/p>\n
Short-term furloughs granted during 2020 can be extended by up to an additional seven months, or until 30 June 2021 at the latest.
\nSupport will continue to be strengthened compared to the ordinary levels in the laws until the end of June next year. \u201dIn January, February and March, the subsidy rate will be 75 percent, which is the same level as the support is at this year. During April, May and June, the subsidy rate will be 50 percent,\u201d writes the government on its website.
\nFor December of this year, the subsidy rate is 75 percent according to existing rules.
\nTo ensure that only employers who meet the requirements receive support, stricter handling will be introduced during the application for approval. In this way, the government also hopes to prevent abuse of the support.<\/p>\n
The government has also announced that they will propose extending the temporary changes to unemployment insurance for entrepreneurs so that they will also apply in 2021. Companies that put their business on hold during 2021 will also be exempted from the rule that at least five years must have passed before a new suspension can be made.<\/p>\n
The deferral of tax payments introduced in March of this year will also be extended. The option to receive deferral applies, for example, to payments of employer contributions and VAT. According to the Swedish Tax Agency, approximately 100,000 deferral decisions have been made so far, and the government states that it will propose that the deferral period can be extended by a further year for everyone who has been granted deferral under the new regulatory framework.<\/p>\n
