Furlough and risk group compensation and the exemption for medical certificates. These are some of the temporary measures that have been in place during the pandemic and which will be removed on 1 October.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The government introduced several temporary changes to social insurance during the pandemic. Many of these are now being removed on 1 October. For example, the exemption regarding doctor's notes is ending, which means doctor's notes will be needed from day 8 of the sick period or from day 8 when applying for compensation for caring for a sick child (vab). When the ordinances regulating these measures expire on 30 September, the rules will revert to those that applied previously.
\n\u00a0<\/p>\n

These allowances will be withdrawn or changed:<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Compensation for waiting period<\/strong>The compensation ceases on 30 September. However, compensation can be applied for retroactively up to 31 December 2021 for waiting period deductions made from the salary before 1 October 2021.<\/p>\n

Compensation for risk groups and compensation for certain relatives of persons in risk groups<\/strong>The compensation ends on 30 September. However, compensation can be applied for retroactively for days that one has been unable to work, which occurred before 1 October.<\/p>\n

Payment for sick child benefit<\/strong>From day 8, a certificate must be attached to the application. The certificate can be issued by a nurse or doctor.<\/p>\n

Sickness benefit\u00a0<\/strong>Those who are ill need to provide a medical certificate from day 8 of their period of sickness. Jobseekers, the self-employed and those on zero-hour contracts apply for sickness benefit directly from the Swedish Social Insurance Agency and must submit a medical certificate when submitting their application from day 8.<\/p>\n

Plague bearer's money.<\/strong>\u00a0Anyone applying for sickness benefit must present a medical certificate from the first day, whether it concerns COVID-19 or any other dangerous or generally infectious disease.<\/p>\n

Reimbursement for sick pay costs.<\/strong>\u00a0The compensation was temporarily changed during the pandemic but will revert to the ordinary regulations on 1 October.
\n\u00a0<\/p>\n

These replacements continue:<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Goodbye from the school closure.<\/strong>\u00a0The government has announced that this compensation will be extended. This means that parents of children whose school or nursery is closed due to covid-19 may receive compensation if they have to stay home from work.<\/p>\n

Compensation for seriously ill children<\/strong>. The government has announced that this compensation will be extended. This means that parents of children who have been seriously ill and need to be protected from contracting COVID-19 can receive preventative compensation for sick leave (vab) if they need to take time off work.<\/p>\n

Postponed care and treatment.<\/strong>\u00a0The government has announced that this compensation will be extended. This means that the extended possibility, when applying for sickness benefit, to postpone the assessment against normally occurring work from day 181 if planned care or rehabilitation is cancelled or postponed due to the pandemic, will remain.<\/p>\n
