On 25 February, the Swedish Tax Agency will open the possibility to apply for transition support for the period August to December 2020. For the period January to February, the application will open on 1 March.
Businesses that have experienced reduced turnover due to the pandemic can apply for transition support. The government has decided this after receiving clearance from the EU. The announcement means that the Swedish Tax Agency will open applications for the first new periods, covering August to December 2020. Applications open on February 25th.
The support is divided into three new support periods and the following dates apply:
- August to October, the service opens February 25th.
- November – December 2020, service opens 25 February.
- January – February 2021, the service opens on March 1st.
The terms differ between the three periods and each period is applied for separately.
The government has also announced that transition support will be available for the period of March and April 2021.
